An employee's MVR shows tickets and a recent accident. Do I have to keep them on the policy?

Carriers underwrite drivers as well as vehicles, and chronic poor-MVR drivers can cause non-renewal or rate spikes for the whole fleet. You're not required by insurance to keep someone driving for you, but employment law (especially in NY) sets the framework for whether and how you can change duties. Many practices that make MVR review part of hiring and ongoing employment require driving employees to maintain a clean record and re-pull MVRs annually. We'll flag drivers whose record is becoming a placement problem so you have notice before the renewal.
