Does an RD employed by a hospital or healthcare system need individual coverage?
Employer-provided coverage applies within the scope of your employment at that institution. Any private practice work, consultation services, public speaking, or writing that creates a professional relationship outside that employment creates uncovered exposure. An individual policy costs relatively little and provides portable protection for all clinical activities outside your primary employment.
