Does my LLC protect me enough that I don't need GL?

No. An LLC limits the personal liability of its owners for the company's debts. It does nothing to stop a customer from suing the business for a slip-and-fall or product defect. Without GL, a single $250K judgment against the LLC can drain its bank accounts, force its dissolution, and end the business — even if your personal house and savings are intact. GL is what keeps the business itself solvent when it gets sued.
