Does malpractice insurance cover telemedicine and care across state lines?

Most current malpractice policies cover telemedicine to patients in states where you are licensed and the policy is admitted. Two failure points show up: (1) treating a patient temporarily in another state where you're not licensed, and (2) carriers that haven't filed in the patient's state. Carriers vary on this — some explicitly cover all 50 states, some cover only the policy's home state plus a few. New York's regulatory framework has tightened around interstate telehealth; we confirm telemedicine coverage scope and state filings on every healthcare placement, especially for practices serving multi-state populations.
