How is D&O different from professional liability or EPLI?

They cover entirely different exposures and don't overlap. D&O = leadership decisions and governance (breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation to investors, M&A disputes). Professional liability / E&O = errors in delivering professional services (a doctor's misdiagnosis, an accountant's mistake, an architect's design flaw). EPLI = employment-related claims from your own employees (discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination). Many growth-stage and healthcare companies need all three, plus cyber. The bundle is sometimes called "management liability" when D&O, EPLI, and fiduciary liability are placed on a combined form.
