Is equipment breakdown covered under my property insurance?
Standard commercial property insurance covers theft, fire, and physical damage from external events — but not sudden mechanical or electrical breakdown of the equipment itself. Equipment breakdown coverage (sometimes called boiler and machinery insurance) is a separate endorsement or policy that responds when your CBCT, autoclave, or milling unit fails for an internal cause.
