What's the difference between professional liability and errors & omissions (E&O)?
They're the same coverage. "Professional liability" is the older term and is dominant in healthcare, legal, and other licensed professions. "E&O" is more common in tech, financial services, real estate, and consulting. "Malpractice" is the same coverage applied to clinicians. The policy form, the triggers, and the protections are essentially identical — only the label changes by industry.
