A patient said something concerning. Should I report a potential claim?

Yes. Report any incident, complaint, or communication that could plausibly evolve into a malpractice claim — even if no demand letter has arrived and you don't believe the care was substandard. Claims-made policies make incident reporting your protection: a circumstance reported during the active policy is locked in for coverage even if the actual claim materializes years later when you might be on a different policy or no policy at all. Late reporting is a frequent reason for coverage disputes. Document the facts, send them to us, and let the carrier's claims team make the coverage call — that's their job, not yours.
