What happens if a claim questions whether I exceeded my scope of practice?
Scope of practice allegations are complex because supervision requirements vary by state and because employment agreements often have ambiguous or outdated scope definitions. When a claim raises scope questions, having your own individual policy means you have a carrier with an interest in your defense specifically — not just your employer's defense.
