How do I file a general liability claim?
Report the incident as soon as you reasonably can — even before a lawsuit is filed, and even if you're unsure whether the third party will pursue it. Most policies have notice requirements that can become coverage issues if delayed. Send the basic facts (date, location, parties involved, injuries or damage), any documentation you have (incident report, photos, names of witnesses), and the policy number.
